HENRI CHAMPLIAU CREMANT BRUT
Henri Champliau is a family home located in Mercurey, heart of the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy. Founded by Alexandre GRAFFARD, grandson of Henri Champliau, they offer Crémant de Bourgogne, made from traditional methods from noble grape varieties, Pinot Noir & Chardonnay and a range ‘Signatures’ with the same quality requirement specific to the house.
This cremant come from plots dedicated to the production of Cremant de Bourgogne. The vine is worked specifically to obtain the best possible wines. Harvesting is done by hand only, yields are limited, pressing is delicate and the base wines are vinified separately. It is then that the assembly takes place, a subtle exercise that will define the style of the house. The cuvée is then bottled to follow the traditional method of secondard fermentation and aging for 12 months minimum. After all these steps then disgorging, the dosage and dressing of the bottles takes place.
